The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases recently awarded $17 million to Grace Aldrovandi, MD, CM, principal investigator at The Saban Research Institute of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, according to a press release. HARARE, ZIMBABWE — Zimbabwe's government is encouraging more men to get circumcised in an effort to fight AIDS. Scientists say male circumcision may reduce the transmission of the HIV virus by up to 60 percent.
